“This commission (Commission of Congregational Services) will serve the Wyoming District by reviewing materials, programs, and studies made available by congregations, Districts, and Synod, so that resources might be made available as requested and needed by pastor and congregations.”

  • Adult Ministry/Leadership
    • Adult Ministry/Leadership Facilitator, Rev. Frank Coniglio, reviews appropriate resources, provides networking, and serves as an advocate for ministry to adults and by adults, and he also advocates leadership development among the laity in congregations.
  • Evangelism
    • Evangelism Facilitator, now vacant, reviews appropriate resources for sharing the Gospel with the unchurched, provides networking for congregations in outreach efforts, and serves as an advocate for evangelism efforts by individuals and congregations.
  • Family Ministry
    • The Family Ministry concept grows out of an understanding that the home and family is to be the center of Christian growth and nurture (see Deuteronomy 6:6-7).

The basic goal of Family Ministry is to champion a home-centered church-supported approach to ministry.

The Family Ministry Facilitator, Mr. Mike Baden , is responsible for providing resources to congregations that would enable them to understand, establish, develop, maintain, and expand an intentional program of ministry directed toward families of all types in their congregations and communities.  Such resources would include workshops, seminars, information on various written materials, etc., all of which could help congregations in their work of helping families be all that God has called them to be.

  • Outdoor Ministry
    • The Wyoming District offers summer camps in two locations over the summer months for various age groups.  The goal is the opportunity to minister to the young people of our District (and surrounding area) in a safe and Christ centered environment with the Word of God.  We are also in need of adults in various capacities.

If you have additional questions, Rev. Kenneth Mars, the Outdoor Ministries Chairman would be glad to help you.  He can be reached in the following ways:

WRITING/REVISING CONSTITUTIONS

(May, 2004, Wyoming District Pastor's Conference)

Plan on taking some time (understand old, understand what you want to change, appoint a committee, contact District Constitutions chairman, follow old constitution for making changes).

Download Constitution and Bylaw Guidelines for LCMS Congregations www.lcms.org/pages/internal.asp?NavID=2455 (Commission on Constitutional Matters).

Study these pages, general principles, simplicity, flexibility, timelessness, purpose, confessions, mission, boards & committees.

Send revisions/changes to District Constitutions Chairman for suggestions, comments, revisions before adoption and final submission for approval, please.

Submit adopted revisions to District Constitutions Chairman for final review and submission to the Wyoming District Board of Directors for approval.

Receive notification of approval of constitution and bylaws, attach letter to document, copy and return one copy to District Office, one copy to Constitutions Chairman.

Begin operating under new constitution, bylaws at next meetings of congregation, boards, council, etc.

File new/revised constitution (WITH DATE UPON IT) in folder labeled "CURRENT CONSTITUTION."  Shred old constitutions/bylaws, or at least destroy all old copies except one which goes into an archive file, so labeled.  Distribute new copies and ask members to do same with old copies.

(Submitted to Pastor's Conference, Wyoming District, May 2004)
