The Chimney Rock Zone LWML Fall Rally was on Saturday, Oct. 4, at St. James, Scottsbluff, with 42 in attendance.  The theme was          

“Serving the Lord” based on Matthew 25:40.  Pastor Jason Harris led the opening devotions “Thanksgiving for Life and Birth.” Rev. Ted Bourret, Zone Counselor, led a Bible study emphasizing our theme.  Carrie Sinks presented an enlightening program of what is being done through Birthright of Scottsbluff to help women in a crisis pregnancy.  Our ingathering was baby items for their group.

Officers were elected and 2009 Zone officers are: Evie Miller, president; Bernice Craft, vice president; Connie Cordes, secretary; Jeanette Stahl, treasurer; and Rev. Ted Bourret, Zone counselor.

The Spring Christian Life Workshop will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, So. Sidney.  Our delegate to the National Convention will be Connie Cordes from St. Paul, Bridgeport , with Joy Peters as alternate.

We are anxiously working on hosting the 2010 Wyoming District LWML Convention June 17-19 at the Gering Event Center.  Irma Walter and DeVon Hadden of Faith-Gering have consented to be Convention Chairmen.
