The realignment of the Wyoming District Zones added new members to the former Chadron Zone which is now the Pine Ridge Zone. We welcomed our sisters into our midst and have enjoyed new thoughts, ideas and input from them.

This past year Spring Workshop was held in Morrill, Neb., in April. The workshop was about the MMV program. Pastors Schnare, Bertram and Cain presented Bible studies on Mission, Ministry and Vision. Barb Schaer, MMV Consultant presented the program.

Many of the members attended the Wyoming District Convention in Dubois in June.

Our fall retreat was held in Torrington, Wyo., on Sept.20, 2008 with Bible studies held by Pastor Temme and Pastor Wittrock.

Fall Rally was in Alliance on Oct. 18, 2008 with Pastor Cain of Morrill giving the program on “Missions and the Lutheran Service Book.” Morrill led us in “Music to Move By” with songs chosen from the LSB.

New officers were elected at the Fall Rally with Barb Schaer, president, Charlotte Herrell, treasurer, Terri Denniston, secretary and Cynthia Goetz was appointed to finish the one year term of vice-president.

A discussion was held concerning levying an assessment for members of each of the eight societies (approximately 140 LWML members) to help cover the costs of sending a delegate to the National Convention. It was decided to let the executive committee further pursue the idea and make a decision at the next board meeting.

Plans are in the works for the Pine Ridge Zone LWML members to attend the national LWML convention in Portland in June.
