The Lutheran Church Extension Fund is a unique savings and loan program that offers Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod members the opportunity to invest their money, earn interest and help build churches at the same time.  LCEF is "reaching out with interest."

Your investments not only earns interest with competitive rates, but also provides loan opportunities to support the ministry of the LCMS, even your own congregation.  Your invested dollars help build and remodel church buildings, schools, colleges, seminaries, and other centers that support the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Beginning in 1902 with a $400 contribution, Missouri Synod leaders had a vision of a loan fund to help build churches - assisting congregations to provide "space and place" for mission and ministry in the name of Jesus Christ.

Over the years, investments have increase steadily to more that $1 billion today!  In support of the Great Commission to make funds and services available to the LCMS, God has richly blessed the Lutheran Church Extension Fund in reaching out to our congregations and people, gathering together the spiritually responsible stewards.

Wyoming District Activity

Much investment and loan activity has happened over the past few years.  At the beginning of this year, the total loan portfolio was just at $1.85 million.  When this year is over, LCEF will have loaned an addition $2 million!  This level of activity is unprecedented in the Wyoming District, and forecasts call for more loan activity over the next few years.  This high level of activity is also present throughout the synod.  If it were not for the dedicated investors, LCEF would be unable to make these low-cost loans happen!
